Deep Rest and Restoration

An Online Retreat @ Home
For Women Who Give Too Much

Be wisely selfish and fill your cup before giving to others.

Imagine carving out just two hours, completely for yourself. Two hours where no one needs anything from you. Two hours where you can finally exhale.

Our online retreat invites you to create a sanctuary of calm within your own home. As a trauma therapist, I've designed this experience specifically to help your nervous system unwind and your mind to find quiet in a world that rarely stops demanding your attention. Through gentle, restorative practices, you'll leave feeling something that might have become unfamiliar to you... feeling truly rested.

This retreat speaks directly to women who find themselves constantly putting others first, who know intellectually they deserve care but struggle to prioritise it. Women who sense that something vital is being lost in the constant rush of responsibilities. Women who are ready to discover what becomes possible when they finally allow themselves to receive.

Who is this Retreat for?

This retreat is specifically designed for women who:

  • May struggle with putting themselves first;
  • Want to be wisely selfish and learn to fill their cups before giving to others;
  • Want to learn to take time out from the challenges of everyday life without guilt or shoulds; and
  • Want to begin to really comprehend and experience the difference it makes in your life when you make time for yourself.

What This Experience Offers You

When you gift yourself these two hours, you're not just getting a brief escape, you're learning a new way of being. Participants consistently share how the effects of our retreat linger for days afterward: clearer thoughts, more patient responses to loved ones, and a profound sense of being more at home in their bodies.

The practical techniques of restoration may be able to be incorporated into your busiest days. You may experience how with guidance in a supportive environment, you are able to release tensions you might not even realise you're carrying. And perhaps most importantly, you'll join a community of women who comprehend exactly what it means to struggle with prioritising yourself.

How to Set Yourself Up for Success

Creating this retreat experience at home requires just a few simple elements for it to be beneficial for you:

Personal

  • A quiet space where you won't be interrupted;
  • Comfortable clothing that allows for gentle movement;
  • You may like to light a candle and create an intention for yourself;
  • Have an empty stomach. This means if you are going to have a meal/breakfast, make sure you have 4.5 hours from the time you eat to the time we start. If you have fruit, keep 2.5 hours, and if you have tea, keep 1.5 hours from when you have it. Some water is okay;
  • Have a yoga mat or yoga nidra futon (I love Calm Buddhi for my yoga supports - check out Businesses I Love);
  • Have either a rolled towel or yoga bolster for underneath your knees when you are lying down;
  • A pillow or two;
  • Have a light blanket to cover yourself with;
  • An eye pillow. If you don't have one, you could use a face washer and fold it in thirds or to fit over your eyes;
  • A water bottle with room temperature water or a flask with hot water;
  • Bring anything that will make you comfortable; and
  • If sitting on the floor is difficult, please make sure you have a chair.

Technical

  • A stable internet connection (enough to support zoom video conferencing);
  • A device with a camera and microphone (computer preferred over phone for the best experience)

Example of our Retreat Timetable

Our online retreats can be made of variations of the following. This is a general plan and I always reserve the right to make changes to what is offered. Depending on what shows up from within the group, I may add something that is needed or remove something that is not needed. The timings are approximate.

Arrival & Grounding (15 minutes)
We begin with gentle somatic awareness practices that help you transition from "doing mode" into "being mode." Through guided body scanning and soft breath work, you'll release the accumulated tension of your day and week, creating a foundation for deeper rest.

Nervous System Restoration (45 minutes)
I'll guide you through specific practices designed to signal safety to your nervous system. These include restorative yoga postures supported by props you have at home, paired with specific breathing patterns that activate your parasympathetic nervous system—your body's natural relaxation response.

Break (10 minutes)
During the break it is important to avoid conversations or distractions. Try to keep in the meditative space as much as possible.

Guided Rest Journey (45 minutes)
Experience a trauma-sensitive guided meditation that allows for deep rest while maintaining a sense of agency and choice. Unlike traditional meditation that can sometimes feel challenging for those with trauma histories, this approach honours your need for safety while inviting profound relaxation.

Integration & Embodied Wisdom (45 minutes)
The final portion of our retreat focuses on gentle integration practices and reflective exercises that help you identify what your body and being truly need. You'll leave with personalised micro doses of restoration that can be incorporated into your daily life.

Closing (15 minutes)
We'll conclude with a brief sharing where you can, if you choose, express a word or image that captures your experience. This ritual helps anchor the benefits of our practice as you prepare to transition back into your day.

About Your Guide

I have been in my private practice supporting women through life's challenges for 20 years. I bring both professional expertise and personal comprehension to this work. My approach is drawn from my studies, my personal trauma recovery experience, inclusion of the whole being and their ancestry, and mindfulness practices, all adapted to honour the unique needs of nervous systems that may be carrying the effects of stress, burnout, or past trauma.

My journey into this work began through my own experience of unresolved trauma that shaped who I thought I was. The profound transformation came when I finally realised the truth of who I am and learned to create boundaries around rest and restoration. What I discovered, and what I now share with others is that rest isn't just a luxury; it's essential nervous system medicine that allows us to show up more fully in every area of our lives.

I've facilitated these retreats as part of my programs and am now making them available for anyone who is seeking deep rest and rejuvenation. I have witnessed the remarkable shifts that can happen when women give themselves permission to pause, even briefly. My commitment is to create a space where you feel both safely held and deeply respected in your autonomy.

Are You Ready To Say Yes to Yourself?

Everything is designed to be gentle and accommodating. No previous experience necessary, only a willingness to be present with yourself.

You'll learn practical techniques to incorporate moments of restoration into even the busiest days. You'll experience how professional guidance in a supportive environment can help release tensions you might not even realise you're carrying. And perhaps most importantly, you'll join a community of women who know exactly what it means to struggle with prioritising yourself.

If something in you is whispering that this is exactly what you need right now, I encourage you to listen to that voice. The most powerful gift you can give to those who depend on you is your own wellbeing.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm not sure I can really disconnect for three whole hours...

  • Many women share this concern before joining us. What they discover is that having a structured container actually makes it easier to set this boundary. We'll begin with a brief practice for consciously setting aside your responsibilities, allowing you to be fully present without the mental weight of what awaits you after our time together.

What if I'm not 'good' at relaxation or meditation?

  • There is no "good" or "bad" when it comes to rest—only meeting yourself where you are today. This retreat is designed for women at all levels of experience with restorative practices. The only requirement is for you to show up for yourself.

Is this really worth prioritising with everything else on my plate?

  • Consider this: what would change if you approached your responsibilities from a place of genuine restoration rather than depletion? Our participants consistently report that the time they "spend" on themselves through this retreat actually creates more time and capacity in their lives through increased focus, emotional regulation, and energy.

What if I have technology issues during the retreat?

  • We'll open the virtual space 10-15 minutes early to help troubleshoot any technical concerns. You'll receive an email prior to the retreat with the zoom link. Contact support@lindaconyard.com if you have any questions before the retreat begins.
