Acknowledgement of Country

I would like to acknowledge and pay my respects to the traditional custodians, the Elders past, present and
emerging, of the land on which I am able to work and live. It is the Jinibara people, whose
land, wind and water I have access to.

I acknowledge and feel deep sadness for the loss of land, people, children, culture and treasures
that the Aboriginal People have endured at the hands of my ancestors.

I venture forward with respect, understanding, compassion and a willingness to own and

My promise is to do what I can to find a healing path in the present and create a future together based on the truth.

Welcome to a Journey of Reconnection and Self Determination

Are you a woman who feels trapped in a life that doesn't reflect your true potential? Do you find yourself struggling with various symptoms such as anxiety, depression, lack of interest, addictions, or unexplained or compounding health issues? Are your relationships, finances, and overall well-being suffering as a result? If so, you are not alone. Unfortunately this inability to fully inhabit the body and liberate the mind and live a deeply connected and conscious life is a true epidemic.

Unlocking Your Full Potential

Now you are here, I want you to know that we understand that many women often carry unresolved trauma deep within their bodies, leading to disconnection from themselves and the world around them. The impact of trauma can manifest in numerous ways, leaving you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and unable to reach your full potential. It is most likely that you don't even realise that these unresolved emotions are at the root of your struggles, silently holding you back from living a fulfilling life.

A Path to Wholeness and Healing Freedom

We specialise in providing a safe and transformative space for women like you to embark on a journey of profound healing. Our approach is rooted in the knowledge that you have everything you need within you to take back the reins of your life.  We acknowledge that we are all spiritual beings, whatever spirituality means for you (it doesn't have to be the dogma of religion).

We believe that to heal it is essential to focus on reconnecting you to your body so you can unlock the powerful healing potential within. Putting things in the right order is crucial to the work we do. Your Heart and Soul needs to be the leader for your life and the mind the servant to your Heart and Soul. You will gain understanding about how you have come to be the way you are through deep compassion for yourself. The relief this gives everyone I work with is invaluable. We don't hold anything back, we teach what works.

We also acknowledge that everyone unfurls in the exact way that is right for them. Some will find it easier to connect with their body than others and this is all perfectly right. What we aim to create when you join our community is space to be exactly who you are and support you to heal in exactly the right way for you. We don't do comparison, but we do celebrate every win no matter how big or small that is.

Embrace the Call for Change

You may have arrived here through a referral, or perhaps you stumbled upon us in your search of answers. Regardless of the path that led you here, trust that it was no coincidence. Your soul is whispering for change, urging you to shed the weight of the past and step into a future brimming with possibilities. Our mission is to help you answer that call, to guide you as you peel back the layers of suffering and reclaim the essence of who you truly are.

What to Expect

As a trauma therapist and family constellation facilitator, I am dedicated to nurturing a safe and compassionate environment, free of judgment. As a community of women wanting to achieve the same goal of living through their Heart and Soul, we will guide, support, and educate you through your change process, gently untangling the threads that have kept you bound. The value of connection and community cannot be underestimated in the healing journey.

Embodying Authenticity

The healing process is as unique as you are. There is no one-size-fits-all approach here. Instead, we'll work collaboratively, as a community to create a space for everyone who finds us. I firmly believe that true healing occurs when we learn to embrace our authentic selves and learn to listen to the wisdom within.

Stepping into Your Power

As you journey through the healing process, you'll notice profound shifts in every aspect of your life. Anxiety and depression will make way for inner peace and self-acceptance. Sleep issues will be replaced with restful nights, and unexplained medical symptoms may dissolve as you regain harmony within. The possibilities are endless when you truly step into your power.

"Whatever is unresolved within you WILL show up in your life, your business and your leadership!"  - Linda Conyard

Whether you are a woman who is a stay-at-home mother or a multi-million dollar female entrepreneur, or anything in between, your unresolved past will continue to show up and run your life until you decide to do something different. It will impact your leadership either at work or within your family.

We keep doing what we've always done until we come to know something different. We are ruled by what we have internalised from our childhood experiences, such as our beliefs, and our point of view. We always see things through the lens of our lived or survived experiences. Anais Nin wisely said, "We don't see things as they are. We see them as we are."

The truth is: however you have survived your life, and creatively adjusted yourself, is so far from who you truly are!

Here's the secret to any challenge you face!

What I have come to personally realise and I often see in my work with clients is that there are three major disconnects that interfere with the potential each and every woman has. These are:

     1.  Disconnection from self;
     2. Disconnection from others; and
     3. Disconnection from our environment.

If we were deeply connected to ourselves, we wouldn't treat ourselves the way we do, we wouldn't treat each other how we do, and we certainly wouldn't treat our environment the way we do.

The remedy is both simple and challenging at the same time. What is required is to make a deeper connection with your true self. This creates the challenge of taking a good hard look at what aspect of yourself is running your life. Once you have found this then commitment is needed to change what doesn't serve you and assimilate your wounded unhealed self.

It can be challenging to learn how to inhabit your body. The usual reason this occurs is that when we don't have the resources to digest our trauma at the time it happens, it remains unresolved within us. We then continue to reenact (Peter Levine, Waking the Tiger) our trauma. Take a moment and review your life, looking for repeating patterns. For example: You may have lived in an abusive environment when you were young and to speak up was dangerous because you might have been hit for it. and is triggered by situations that

The hardest thing you will ever do is to take an honest look into yourself. The best gift you can ever give yourself is to take an honest look into yourself!

The next hardest thing is that most of us do not recognise the symptoms we are experiencing are as a result of unresolved trauma. I know this was very true for me. I had normalised (although I knew it wasn't right) my childhood experiences. I was in my early 50s when it clicked for me that I had a childhood filled with trauma.

Testimonial:  "Approximately 3 years ago, whilst I was navigating one of the most confronting periods of my life, I was thankfully offered the name/number of a respected therapist who I was told may be able to offer me some support. The therapist I am referring to is Linda Conyard, and this remarkable woman quite literally changed my life.

At the time I knew little more about Linda other than the fact that she was a Trauma Therapist, and given the work I had done previously throughout my life, in an attempt to try an unravel my (what I now understand) complex trauma, I was a little dubious initially wondering how this woman may be able to help me where others had previously fallen short.
Well, where do I start?

Linda possesses all of the qualities you would expect in a great therapist. She is, of course, extremely patient, supremely supportive, profoundly empathetic, incredibly insightful….the list is endless. However, as important as these qualities are, Linda’s approach and commitment to healing (both to herself and others) extended way beyond this, way beyond what I initially understood or even believed was possible. She is unlike anyone I have come across in all of the years
of my commitment to therapy….both as a client and as a therapist myself.

Linda is a healer. In using this term (not a term I use lightly), I am referring to Linda’s remarkable ability to not only support her clients through the healing journey of the body, mind and emotion, but arguably more importantly, the healing of the heart and the spirit. She is completely holistic in her belief, unwaveringly spiritual in her view and beautifully practical and down to earth in her approach.

A therapist of the highest order, a mentor beyond comparison, a hilariously funny and frank individual and a deeply kind and loving soul. I am also extremely grateful to be able to say she is now someone I call my trusted friend. A more profound and inspiring woman I have never met."  Jayne Cassidy

The family Constellation work with Linda was profoundly transformational. At the time, I became aware of emotions, beliefs and trauma stored in my body that were based on a misconception formed during a tragic event in my childhood. As I participated in the group session, I felt stored grief coming out of my body. I was grateful to have Linda's strong presence holding me.

Linda guided my body to make a 180-degree turn in the room. I felt my whole point of perception (i.e., where I perceive things from) shift 180 degrees too. As I accepted the true reality of what occurred when I was a child, I could sense a feeling of liberation. I knew I had turned in the direction of saying, "yes" to living my life.

For 2 weeks after the work, I sensed a continuing of this turning in my body, feeling slightly disorientated, but knowing it was a good thing. I had spoken the words "I'll live a happy and fulfilling life" at the end of the session. These words I spoke out loud, continued to reverberate daily for a few weeks and still come back to my mind regularly.

Now nearly 1 year later, I can clearly see the powerful transformation that has made a significant difference in my life. A familiar feeling of panic rarely arises now, and when it does, I am able to stay present and breathe without losing myself in the emotions. It was a missing core piece of healing, in my lifetime of seeking answers and relief to the pain I have felt.

Linda creates a safe and powerful space and I completed trusted her. She expertly, powerfully and compassionately guided the process. Without question, I was able to go to the deepest place of the child and heal my trauma enough to live a happier and more fulfilling life.

My teenage daughter and I have experienced horrific acts of domestic violence - physically, emotionally, mentally and financially. Over the past years, I have sought professional support for our trauma recovery.

Initially, we began therapy sessions (individually) with respective psychologists and psychiatrists. Whilst the environments were safe and empathetic, I found that our progress of recovery was slow, and we weren't progressing forward or dealing with our trauma. It was more a case of changing your thinking, and personally, I kept getting prescribed more medication.

I was fortunate enough to be referred to our current trauma specialist Linda Conyard. After our separate initial consultation, I noticed and experienced a significant difference in the approach and effectiveness of Linda's session. She possesses specialized knowledge, experience and training in trauma, and her deep understanding of our complex trauma has made a difference in our path to recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is trauma recovery therapy?
Not everyone recognizes that the challenges they are struggling with are caused by unresolved trauma. People may come in because they have anxiety, and as we work together, we find there is trauma associated with anxiety being triggered. I never know what will become visible as we work together, and I trust that regardless of how bad you feel about yourself, you have the inner wisdom to recover and reconnect to who you truly are. We find the healing path together through my facilitation of bringing your awareness to what you are holding in your body. There is no one thing for everybody. I believe everyone unfurls in their own way if we listen to what the body tells us.
Why not just talk to a  friend?
Having a friend to talk to is absolutely wonderful. If you need more than a chat, a hug, or a cup of tea, then finding a therapist to work with is of value. See my thoughts on how to choose a therapist.
How do I choose a therapist?
I wish I had known I could interview a potential therapist while searching for one. It never entered my mind until I became a therapist and welcomed people to ask any needed questions. I believe that as a therapist, I don't earn the right to sit opposite someone looking for healing if I haven't done that work myself. I also believe that you, as a potential client, have the right to know the level of commitment a potential therapist has to their own work. If they get a bit funny when you start asking questions about this then that's your answer. I have created a sheet that people can use when they are looking for a therapist to work with. You can access that here: Click here.
What qualifications should I look for?
I would expect to see a degree of some level. If it is a diploma or an advanced diploma, I would like to know that there has been continuous further study undertaken. It is important that the therapist continues their learning and stays in touch with growth in the field.
How long are the sessions?
My sessions are up to 90 minutes. I enjoy spaciousness and limit my daily client work to no more than 6 people a day. I find this level of work is where I can have good energy and alertness for my clients.
What's the benefit of your programs?
The programs are designed to use the group to increase learning, understanding, and connection. Trauma happens in disconnection, and healing happens in connection. Most people who have unresolved trauma feel alone in their suffering. Being in a group helps us to realize that we do not have to struggle in isolation. We also see that a lot of what happens for us also happens for others. This is not to allow you to compare levels of trauma and minimize your own experience, it is so you can realize you are not alone and use the group's support as part of your own healing process.
What if I don't like groups?
This is not as uncommon as you may think. Many people do not like groups. Some through experiences of being in groups and potentially being triggered. Some are from experiences from when they were at school where they have been singled out and potentially embarrassed. There are many reasons why people don't like groups. When you join one of my groups, you are always welcome to let me know what's not working for you, and together to find a solution.
How frequently should I see my therapist?
If you are working with me one to one on trauma recovery then it is good to come weekly. What happens if you don't is, you easily fall back into habitual patterns. If the distance between sessions allows this to happen we don't make much progress and we would need to discuss how to proceed.
What options do I have as far as attending a therapy session?
For face-to-face sessions, I have a workspace in Samford Village on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are other options if people prefer to use Zoom.
