I would like to acknowledge and pay my respects to the traditional custodians, the Elders past, present
and emerging, of the land on which I am able to work and live.
It is the Jinibara people of the Garumngar clan, whose land, wind and water I have access to.
I acknowledge and feel deep sadness for the loss of land, people, children, culture and treasures that the
Aboriginal People have endured at the hands of my ancestors.
I venture forward with respect, understanding, compassion and a willingness to own and acknowledge
my white history and privilege. My promise is to do what I can to find a healing path in the
present and create a future together based on the truth.
